Classic Margarita with Homemade Marg Mix
There are few things in this world that inspire that relaxed, laid-back state of mind quite like the perfect margarita. While a frozen strawberry marg topped with a pink umbrella may seem like a spring break cliché, our adult(ish) mentality has found that a classic margarita on the rocks is often just what the doctor ordered.
We are Jimmy Buffett enthusiasts and Parrotheads for life, so crafting our own mix with freshly squeezed lime juice is right up our alley. One sip of this margarita will instantly transport you from your average Happy Hour to Margaritaville, guaranteed.
Concerned about sugar content? Swapping stevia for sugar (1:1 substitution) will result in a delicious mix, and the stevia flavor marries so well with tequila that you will probably not even notice the difference (and may never go back to sugar again).
We are currently digging on Casamigos’ Blanco tequila, but feel free to use your tequila of choice. This mix keeps in the fridge for about seven days and freezes well. We also know from experience that it’s a party hit, so whip up a pitcher and take it to your next cook out. Your friends will thank you!
Cheers!
